Megastar Mammootty has a bunch of stellar projects lined up already and one of them will have him reuniting with director Santhosh Viswanath. The duo earlier teamed up for One, which had Mammootty playing the role of Kerala Chief Minister.

The upcoming film will be a big budget movie directed by Santhosh, who had earlier helmed Kunchacko Boban and Rima Kallingal-starrer Chirakodinja Kinavukal. As per reports, the film will be backed by a Bollywood production company and will go on floors in 2022.

The team is yet to reveal other details about the movie, regarding its production or cast. Mammootty’s One had him playing the Kerala CM for the first time in his 50-year-old career. The movie was the first big Malayalam film to release in theatres after the pandemic lockdown. It hit theatres in Kerala earlier this year and is currently available to stream on Netflix.

Mammootty, meanwhile, is currently shooting for Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam, which is written by S Hareesh. The film is being shot in Pollachi and has been delayed due to the rains in Tamil Nadu. This is the first film the megastar is producing under his new banner Mammootty Company. The actor will also complete his segment in the Netflix anthology based on MT Vasudevan Nair’s stories before he joins the sets of K Madhu’s CBI 5 on December 10.

The actor also has two big releases coming up. He is part of Ratheena Sharshad’s Puzhu, which also has Parvathy in the lead, and Amal Neerad’s movie Bheeshma Parvam, which is set in the mid 80s and is touted to be a gangster thriller.
