D. Satya Prakash latest directorial 'Man of the Match' is all set for a grand worldwide OTT premiere. Produced by the late Puneeth Rajkumar under his home banner of PRK Productions, the film will release globally on Amazon Prime Video on the 5th of May and the team took to social media a short while ago to make the special announcement.
'Man of the match' is a satirical comedy that stars Nagaraj S. Bhat, Dharmanna Kadur, Veena Sundar, and Atharva Prakash. Music composer Vasuki Vaibhav, who incidentally made his debut with D. Satya Prakash's critically acclaimed film 'Rama Rama Re', will be seen playing a key role in the film. A meta subject at heart, the film follows the protagonist (Nagaraj S. Bhat) who happens to be a filmmaker and his pursuits lead him to organize auditions for a film titled 'Man of the Match'. What unfolds soon is a series of unprecedented yet highly comical events.
'Man of the Match' was earlier slated to release on Amazon Prime along with PRK Productions' recent direct-to-OTT releases 'One Cut Two Cut' and 'Family Pack'. 'One Cut Two Cut', starring Danish Sait and Samyukta Hornad, premiered on February 5th while the horror-comedy 'Family Pack' came out on Prime on the 17th of February - 'Man of the Match' was to be the third film of the pack but the makers chose to delay the world premiere considering the influx of big releases.
"Though the film was supposed to premiere in February, we chose to delay the release because of all the big films that had hit the cinema halls. This would go on till the end of April and we had to be prudent about the exact release date," shares director D. Satya Prakash.
And Satya Prakash is particularly kicked about the film for he has cast a number of fresh faces. "More than anything else, I am eager and excited to know how all the young talent reacts to the film and about their viewing experience. And we are quite confident about the film because we have heard some really good stuff over time and the first look we released earlier today too has fetched a great response. Let's hope for the best," adds the filmmaker.
Man of The Match is slated to release worldwide on May 5, in India and across 240 countries and territories on Prime Video.
