Managalavaaram is Payal Rajput's latest release which is directed by Ajay Bhupathi of RX 100 and Maha Smaudram fame. The village drama was released on November 17, 2023, and earned decent reviews. But as the Cricket World Cup tournament was at its peak, the collections were just about okay.
We at OTTplay have already reported that Aha has bagged the OTT rights to the film and now, we have news about the film's expected release date. We have come to know that Aha is planning to stream Mangalavaram from December 10, 2023. The date is almost locked and very soon an official confirmation will be made by Aha as per a source from the team.
Mangalavaram is about mysterious happenings in a small village and is connected to Payal Rajput's character. Her bold performance has been widely appreciated by critics and audiences alike. The entire film is shot in a small village and most of the drama happens at night and that too on Tuesdays.
Seasoned actors like Ajay Ghosh and Krishna Chaitanya played key roles in this film which had music by B. Ajaneesh Loknath. Ajay Bhupathi is quite happy that a bold subject like Mangalavaram has been approved in a very warm way by the audience.
The only part he felt a bit sad about was the collections could have been a lot better if not for the World Cup. Priyadarshi was seen in a special role in this film and his character was kept in suspense for the audience and is unveiled only at the end of the film.
