Bench Life is an upcoming Telugu web series that will stream on Sony Liv from September 12, 2024. Mansa Sharma has directed this series and she is quite confident that this fun series will win the hearts of many. When asked how the idea of making a web series on IT official came out, Manasa says that she is a techie and has seen the lives of her colleagues who have been sitting on the bench in IT companies and doing nothing.
So, when she got a call from Sony Liv to pen a web series on IT officials, Bench life was the topic that came to her mind right away. "I have seen everything and how the techies behave when they are on the bench. The comedy that happens and the moments that are created make up for hilarious storytelling," says Manasa.
So when asked what can we expect from this fun series, Manasa says that Bench Life is a fun series that dwells into the lives of a few software engineers. While the character played by Vaibhav Reddy is relatable to one and all, the girls, Ritika Singh and Akanksha Singh have their own set of issues in the professional.
"All this is showcased in a fun manner in our five-episode series. The situational comedy related to the techies will be one of the highlights," says Manasa. The young director also adds that Bench Life is a slice-of-life series and has moments that create a lot of laughter. "There is no over-the-top comedy and the proceedings flow on a very organic note," says Manasa.
The special aspect of the series is that it has been produced by Niharika Konidela, who is high on the success of her latest film, Committee Kurrollu. Speaking about her, Manasa says that Niharika has been a solid support right through the project and has backed her from going all out with her ideas. "I am so happy that Niharika has produced this series. I am also making yet another project with her and this shows what a cool producer she is," ends Manasa Sharma.
