Manasa Varanasi, Miss India 2020, set for Telugu debut with Ashok Galla’s next

Ashok Galla, grandson of superstar Krishna and nephew of Mahesh Babu, who surprised many with his knack for humour and his dance moves in his debut Hello, is wrapping up his second film at a brisk pace. He’s teaming up with Arjun Jandyala, a former protege of Boyapati Sreenu, for an action entertainer. The latter had earlier helmed the actioner Guna 369 with Kartikeya.

Prasanth Varma has written the story for the film tentatively titled #AshokGalla2. Somineni Balakrishna, a popular film distributor is turning a producer with the film under the banner Lalithambika Productions. K Sagar is the co-producer and Nallapaneni Yamini is the presenter. The makers have officially announced the female lead for the commercial entertainer today.

Miss India 2020 winner Manasa Varanasi will be making her Telugu debut with the project opposite Ashok Galla. She is cast as Satyabhama in the film, a village belle, going by the first poster. “Introducing our SATYABHAMA. It’s awesome to have you on-board & play the role @varanasi_manasa. Looking forward to many great moments on the sets,” Ashok Galla introduced his co-star.

Manasa Varanasi dons a langa-voni in the poster for an auspicious occasion in the film. Earlier, a special glimpse introducing Ashok Galla’s massy character was also unveiled by the makers, which received encouraging response from audiences. The film is expected to release in the final quarter of 2023 or early 2024. The other actors in the prestigious project will be introduced shortly.

Bheems Ceciroleo, best known for films like Dhamaka and Balagam, scores the music for AshokGalla2, while Prasad Murella cranks the camera. Tammiraju is the editor and Burra Sai Madhav is the dialogue writer respectively. Ashok Galla’s debut film, Hello, a Sriram Adittya directorial where he shared screenspace alongside Nidhhi Agerwal, can be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar.
