Mandaar-actor Debasish Mondal to get hitched soon

After graduating from the National School of Drama, Debashish Mondal worked in Delhi, Mumbai, and PuneThe actor is now a known face in Kolkata. His career took a leap in the Bengali film industry after he played Mandaar in Anirban Bhattacharya’s take on Mcbeth on Hoichoi. Now, he has started getting lots of calls from Tollywood directors and producers. Meanwhile, according to the reports, the actor is all set to tie the knot. 

Debasish hails from Kanchrapara. Though he lives in Kolkata due to work, his family is in his hometown. According to industry sources, Debasish will be married soon. Who is the bride? Debasish is going to marry his longtime girlfriend, with whom he used to act in theatre. However, Debasish does not want to comment anything regarding this. He told Anandabazar Online, “I do not want to say anything right now. Yes, I have plans of getting married. I will let everyone know when it is confirmed.”

Recently, Debasish’s acting in the web series Sikarpur has caught everyone’s attention. The actor said, “When I walk along the road or go to some programme, people recognise me and it feels good. On social media, people message me that they want to see me in bigger roles. These feedbacks from common people inspire me.”

Debasish recently completed shooting a web series directed by Saptaswa Basu. He acted in a double role for the first time. The actor does not want to divulge anything right now. He said, “Two characters with different layers in two time periods. That was a challenging task.”
