There’s some red hot update from Ajith’s Thunivu. The latest we hear is that the film’s dubbing is going in full swing. The film’s lead actress Manju Warrier had recently shared a picture from the recording studio, in which she is seen sitting on the couch and rendering her lines. She captioned the picture, “No Guts, No Glory #THUNIVU #dubbing #ajithkumar #ak #hvinoth (sic).” She shared yet another picture that gives a sneak peek at her character in the film. This is the first time that Manju is collaborating with Ajith. She had earlier made her Tamil debut with Vetri Maaran’s Asuran in which she teamed up with Dhanush. The film went on to win the National Award for the Best film.

Recently, TV anchor and host Mamathi Chari, too, had shared a picture from the recording studio. She had stated that it was a pleasure to shoot with the  brilliant, creative  duo of H Vinoth and Nirav Shah for Ajith’s Thunivu. She had also stated that she felt super supported as an artist dubbing was equally a pleasure. She added that the space director Vinoth  had created for one to explore and express was soul satisfying.

Thunivu is said to be a heist thriller, which is inspired by a real-life incident ( a bank robbery) which is said to have taken place in Punjab in the 1980s. Ajith will play a dual role in the film after a long time and one of his characters is said to have shades of grey. The star cast includes Veera, John Kokken, Ajay and Cibi Chandran. The shoot for the film has been wrapped up and post production is going in full swing.

Music for the film is by Ghibran. Thunivu director H Vinoth had recently confirmed that the film will hit screens for Pongal. However, the exact release date is yet to be announced. Thunivu will take on Vijay’s Varisu, which is said to be a family entertainer helmed by Vamshi Paidipally.
