Since the pandemic, Manju Warrier has had only three theatrical releases – The Priest, Chathur Mukham and Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham. However, in May 2022, the star will have two back-to-back releases with G Prajesh Sen’s Meri Awas Suno and Santosh Sivan’s Jack N Jill.

Meri Awas Suno will be the first to hit theatres on May 13. The film, which has Jayasurya in the lead, will have the actress playing the role of a doctor cum social worker. The actress’ character Dr Reshmi Padath is a guide and friend to Jayasurya’s RJ Shankar in the film. “She’s an active lady who speaks her mind and has no inhibitions,” the film’s director Prajesh Sen had earlier told OTTplay.

While the movie marks the third collaboration between the filmmaker and Jayasurya after Vellam and Captain, it’s the first time the actor is sharing screen space with Manju Warrier in a lead role.

In an earlier interview with OTTplay, Jayasurya said, “I have found her to be extremely caring and full of positivity. Moreover, she’s a brilliant actress. If you give her clay and tell her what you want, she would create a sculpture out of it.” The movie also has Sshivada as part of the cast.

Meanwhile, Santosh’s Jack N Jill was initially set to release in April 2020. The movie, which will also have a Tamil version titled Centimeter, will hit theatres on May 20. The film, which has elements of sci-fi and fantasy, has Manju playing a rustic character who is experimented upon.

Jack N Jill, which also has Basil Joseph, Kalidas Jayaram, Nedumudi Venu and Aju Varghese, is a genre-bender with humour, action and sci-fi elements. The actress has also wrapped up shooting for Sanal Kumar Sasidharan’s Kayattam, Aamir Pallikal’s Ayisha and Mahesh Vettiyaar’s Vellari Pattanam. Her previous release was Lalitham Sundaram, which was a direct-to-OTT release on Disney+ Hotstar.
