Manoj Bajpayee gives an update on The Family Man 2

Actor Manoj Bajpayee has been the main face of the Amazon Prime Video original show, The Family Man. Now that the second season of the show is coming out soon, the actor has got his fans all excited.

He in fact shared an update about the show in an interview with Lehren TV. The actor said that the streaming platform, Prime Video, is all set to announce a release date soon.

What is causing the delay, you ask? Bajpayee said that he finished shooting for the web series last year i.e. in 2020 itself. However, the post-production work is what is causing the delay.

Recently, media reports shared that The Family Man season 2 could release next month. The Amazon Prime original web series was initially slated for release on February 12, but the makers had to postpone the release due to "unforeseeable circumstances".

When there were reports that the second season of the hit show was on the backburner, its creators Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK took to Instagram and confirmed that the show is definitely releasing in summer this year. So, it does seem likely that The Family Man Season 2 might release in less than a month's time.

A statement by the filmmaker duo read, "We know you have been eagerly waiting for the new season of The Family Man. We are truly grateful and humbled by all the love! We have an update for you. The Family Man Season 2 will premiere on Amazon Prime Video this summer! We have been working super hard to get you a kickass season. And we are pretty sure you will love it. Can’t wait to bring it to you!"

The second season will also have a new addition in Telugu actress Samantha Akkineni. Her role has been kept under wraps till date. The first season had Malayalam actor Neeraj Madhav in a pivotal role.
