Two of Hindi cinema’s most prominent, acclaimed and admired actors today - Shah Rukh Khan and Manoj Bakjpayee - began their acting journey through theatre in Delhi when they were barely 19-20 years old. Both the actors have given us some of the most remarkable films in Bollywood, and have built their own individual identities through their powerhouse performances over the years. That said, Shah Rukh and Manoj also have their own stories of hardship and struggles from their early years that many today find inspiring. In an interview recently, Manoj said that he has a lot of respect for Shah Rukh, especially because he built everything by himself after losing his parents when he was very young.

Jab bhi main aur Shah Rukh milte hain, zyada nahi milte hain, hamari duniya alag hain. Maine apni duniya banayi, usne apni. Hamari zyada mulakat hoti nahi hain. Jab hum 19-20 saal ke the, humne 1.5 saal tak saath main kaam kiya tha. Woh jaan pehchaan hai aur izzat hai ek dusre ke liye. Mujhe bohot khushi hoti hain usko uss mukaam pe dekh ke, jiss tarah ke duniya usne khadi ke apne liye. Ek vyakti jiska pura duniya ujadh chuka tha, 26 saal ke umar mein, aur uska pura parivaar ja chuka tha, phir usne apni duniya khadi ki, parivaar apna create kiya, apne liye itna bada naam, izzat banaya,” Manoj told The Lallantop.

The Family Man actor’s next is a highly-anticipated courtroom drama film - Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai - which is releasing on May 23. Directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, the ZEE5 original film is based on true events. In the movie, the National Award-winning actor plays the role of a session court lawyer, named PC Solanki, who dedicatedly fights a five-year-long case, trying to bring justice to young girls wronged by a godman.
