Manoj Bajpayee recalls his first discotheque experience, courtesy of Shah Rukh Khan!

Manoj Bajpayee was recently seen on Aap Ki Adalat to talk about his forthcoming role as a lawyer in the film Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai. On the show, the actor said that Shah Rukh Khan was the one who introduced him to the disco scene. Manoj was once turned away from a nightclub because of the slippers he was wearing.

Manoj recalled the amusing day that Shah Rukh Khan and his friends helped him get shoes so that he could enter the event. Once, he and SRK were both on a show for Barry Jones. They decided to go to a disco after the play, and Manoj wanted to join them. The superstar took him to a popular pub in the city called Ghungroo. Manoj said that he had never been to a nightclub before this. He admitted that he was sipping his wine while everyone else around him danced.

The actor revealed in Hindi that when they reached Ghungroo, the managers said that they would not allow this chappal person. Also, he went around town in chappals because he had none for himself. So Shah Rukh and his friends, who were roaming around the lobby, asked if they might borrow me a pair of shoes. So Manoj met a guy who wore his sandals and stayed outside while he borrowed his shoes. The actor walked inside while he was working, saving his shoes. That was his first time at a disco. Additionally, he said it was dark and dingy there.

He went on to say that it was only thanks to Shah Rukh and his friends that someone from the village finally got the chance to see a disco.

Earlier, Manoj had also recalled that when money was tight, they would all pitch in for a pack of cigarettes or a beedi. SRK had always had a way with the ladies, making him a favourite target when they entered their group. When the superstar spoke, people listened.
