Manoj Bajpayee has a packed schedule with back-to-back projects till 2023. In a recent interview, The Family Man 2 actor has said that he no longer has the space to sign on new projects.
Bajpayee said that owing to the second wave of the pandemic halting many new and ongoing projects as well as new offers coming his way, he has a lot of work on his hands, according to Mid-Day.
"With the commitments I have, it will be hectic till the end of 2023. I have to finish all the films I have committed to. Only for this reason, I have stopped reading new scripts and taking narrations. At this point of time, I don’t have dates," he told the publication.
Among his recently wrapped projects are Raam Reddy’s yet-untitled project and Kanu Behl’s investigative thriller Despatch.
Bajpayee will also be collaborating again after Sonchiriya with Abhishek Chaubey on a Netflix black comedy series. This project will also see him share the screen space with Konkona Sensharma once again.
The shoot for this untitled series began in December. A source told Mid-Day that it also stars Sayaji Shinde, M Nassar and other known names from the Southern film industry. The shoot was ongoing in Mumbai but paused due to the rising cases of COVID-19.
The source added that director Chaubey has informed the team that once the situation is under control, they will all return to the set. So far, Bajpayee has about ten days of shoot pending. After the shoot for this series concludes, the actor will begin working on Rahul Chitela's directorial debut.
