Actor-producer Mohan Babu’s son, Manoj Manchu, who made a mark as a lead actor in popular films like Vedam, Prayanam, Jhummandi Naadam, took a sabbatical from cinema in 2017. He had last acted in a film titled Okkadu Migiladu, directed by Ajay Andrews Nuthakki. Since then, he has tried his hands as an entrepreneur across different arenas, while keeping mum about the idea of returning to films. Well, the cat is out of the bag at last! He has finalised his comeback film and officially announced it today.

Manoj Manchu’s comeback film, titled What The Fish, will be helmed by a first-time filmmaker Varun Korukunda, who has also written the story and the screenplay. “It’s been a long time since I did any film but I’m blessed to have had all your love upon me all these years and it’s high time to give back all the Love ❤️ Here’s Announcing my NEXT❤️🚀 #WhatTheFish 🤪🥸🤩🥳😎💫 A crazy film that’ll give you all a CRAZYYYYY experience :)” the actor shared across his social media handles this morning.

The poster presents several interesting details about the film, with the backdrops of a gas station and a bar titled Big Bang Lottery besides the caricature of a girl with a goggle mask. A group of a few beastly henchmen, seated on their motor-bikes and arriving from a car, look set to attack Manoj Manchu. What The Fish comes with a unique caption ‘Manam Manam Barampuram’ and the poster lays an intriguing foundation for a quirky action entertainer.

What The Fish will be primarily shot in Toronto and several locales in Canada for over 75 days with a bevvy of talented actors across the globe. Other details surrounding the film’s cast and crew will be announced shortly. “We can’t wait for audiences to see what Manoj Manchu brings to this party, with all his positive energy. What The Fish is an attempt to bring a visually pleasing, funny, thrilling entertainer,” the director Varun Korukunda said.
