The makers of Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea are leaving no stone unturned in making fans pretty excited about the film. Just a few days are left for Priyadarshan's period drama to hit the big screens and mark his reunion with Mohanlal after five years. Ahead of Marakkar's theatrical release, a new teaser has been dropped on the tube which shows more glimpses of the main characters of the film.
The minute-long teaser starts with the late actor Nedumudi Venu in a pensive mood. While Mohanlal, in the titular role, is captured in an intense look while being smeared in black ashes. The teaser also features Arjun Sarja and Suneil Shetty, who are playing important roles alongside Mohanlal in the film. Similarly, Manju Warrier and Keerthy Suresh are also seen in their delightful avatars.
Priyadarshan wrote and directed Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea, which has been produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.
Mohanlal, Pranav Mohanlal, Arjun, Suniel Shetty, Prabhu, Manju Warrier, Suhasini, Keerthi Suresh, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Fazil, Siddique, Nedumudi Venu, Innocent, Ashok Selvan, Fazil, Siddique, Nedumudi Venu, Innocent, Ashok Selvan, and others star in this film.
Ronnie Raphael has composed the music for the film, while Thiru is the man behind the cinematography.
The film won three awards at the 67th National Film Awards: Best Feature Film, Best Special Effects, and Best Costume Design.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film's initial release date of March 26, 2020 was postponed. It was then rescheduled for August 12, 2021, before being postponed once more.
After considering an OTT release for Marakkar, the film will finally get a theatrical release worldwide on December 2, 2021.
