Mardaani 3: Shaitaan star Janki Bodiwala joins Rani Mukerji's action thriller - Know the details of her character

Yash Raj Films' Mardaani 3 is one of the most-awaited third installments of the popular Hindi action franchise, Mardaani. The makers recently revealed that it will be released in cinemas on February 27, 2026. This film promises a dark, deadly, and brutal story, as narrated by Rani Mukerji, who returns to the role of supercop Shivani Shivaji Roy. Now, a recent report suggests that Shaitaan actress Janki Bodiwala joined the cast. Read below to know her character! 

Janki Bodiwala in Rani Mukerji's Mardaani 3

Janki Bodiwala played the role of Ajay Devgn and Jyotika's daughter in Shaitaan movie. The film also stars R. Madhavan. Now, according to Pinkvilla, Janki has joined the cast of Rani Mukerji's Mardaani 3. She will be seen as a cop. 

The source added, “After winning over the audience with Shaitaan, Janki has bagged a very important role in Mardaani 3. Adi Chopra, and Rani Mukerji were impressed by her performance in Shaitaan, and have cast her to play an important part in Mardaani 3. She will be seen as a cop in the film. She has already started shooting for the film in Mumbai."

Rani Mukerji is all set to reprise her much-loved cop Shivani Shivaji Roy role in Mardaani 3. The poster hints at a more intense plot, and it seems to explore themes of good versus evil, with Holi's release symbolizing the triumph of good over darkness.

Speaking about the third instalment, Rani earlier said that it is always special to wear the police uniform and play a character who has only given her love. "I’m proud to essay the character of this feisty cop again in Mardaani 3 as a tribute to all the unsung, brave, self-sacrificing cops who work tirelessly every single day to keep us safe," she added.

As per Rani, Mardaani 3 is dark, deadly, and brutal, and she is intrigued to find out the response of the people towards the film.
