Ahead of her movie Mardaani 3’s theatrical release, Rani Mukerji has teamed up with Deepti Sharma in a fight to let go of labels. The duo, who are tagged as the example of ‘females who dominate in a world of men,’ now joined hands to deliver a message. Know all about it…
In a video shared by YRF, Rani Mukerji joins hands with another ‘Mardaani’ Deepti Sharma. The actor commences the video by speaking about the all-rounder from female Indian cricket team UP Warriorz, Deepti Sharma. Deepti describes Rani as a National-Award winning star (for Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway), who has worked in a female-centric film (Mardaani) where she plays a ‘female cop.’ Rani then goes on to introduce a female director, female DOP, and female sound person. She then states, “Chef ko hum male chef nahi bolte,” to which Deepti adds, “Pilot ko hum male pilot nahi bolte.” Rani asks the question, “Toh phir yahan female kyun?” That is when Deepti reminds that achievements have no gender. The same is about Rani speaking about ‘letting go of labels’ on Republic Day.
