The shoot for Sivakarthikeyan's next, Prince, was wrapped up yesterday. The team made the announcement of the same on their social media page about the wrap-up. The film marks the debut of Ukrainian actress Maria Riaboshapka in the Tamil film industry. Taking to her social media page, the model-turned-actress wrote that she thoroughly enjoyed working on the film and that it was an incredible journey. She wrote, "We finished shooting the movie "Prince". It was an incredible journey with wonderful people, an incredibly creative and kind team. All the time I was in a circle of friends. I will miss you so much. Thank you for this incredible experience. Looking forward to the premiere!"

The film, which is said to be a romantic comedy, is directed by Anudeep KV of Jathi Ratnalu fame. This is the first collaboration between Sivakarthikeyan and Anudeep. Sivakarthikeyan is said to be playing a teacher, who romances a foreigner. The film has been shot across multiple locations in Tamil Nadu and Hyderabad. Music for the film is by Thaman.

Prince is bankrolled by D Suresh Babu, Narayan Das K Narang, and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the banners of Suresh Productions Pvt, Sree Venkateshwara Cinemas LLP, and Shanthi Talkies respectively. The Tamil-Telugu bilingual is slated to release for Diwali. Though the film was earlier supposed to release for Vinayagar Chaturthi, the release got pushed to Diwali.

The team made the announcement of the release date with a funny video starring Sathyaraj, who plays a crucial role in the film. In the video, Sivakarthikeyan is seen saying that the actual reason for delaying the release of Prince is Sathyaraj, who has become a pan-India actor after playing Kattappa in Bahubali. As Sivakarthikeyan rants about Sathyaraj, the senior actor interrupts him and asks, what would Sivakarthikeyan do if he lost his temper, and pat comes the reply. "I will automatically cool down, sir." The video has won the hearts of many.
