September 3 is set to be a busy day as far as the Tamil film industry is concerned. Three trailers are gearing up for release tomorrow, namely Vishal and SJ Suryah's Mark Antony, Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara's Iraivan and Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut's Chandramukhi 2.
Mark Antony
The action thriller, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, has Vishal teaming up with SJ Suryah. The film, which is based on time travel, features Ritu Varma, Sunil, Selvaraghavan, Abhinaya, Kingsley and YG Mahendran. Music is by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Abhinandan Ramanujam, and Vijay Velukutty is handling the editing. The film is bankrolled by S Vinok Kumar. Mark Antony will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam and is gearing up to hit screens on September 15.
Chandramukhi 2
Chandramukhi 2 will mark Raghava Lawrence's first pan-India release. The film marks his maiden collaboration with Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. Filmmaker P Vasu, who had directed the original, Chandramukhi, has helmed this thriller. While Raghava Lawrence will be seen as Vettaiyan, Kangana will play Chandramukhi. The film, which also stars Radhika Sarathkumar, Vadivelu, Lakshmi Menon and Mahima Nambiar, will release on September 15.
Iraivan
It looks like Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara's Iraivan is a slasher flick. Iraivan marks the second collaboration of Ravi and Nayanthara after Thani Oruvan, who will once again share screen space in Thani Oruvan 2. The film, directed by Ahmed, was initially slated for release on August 25, but now the film is all gearing up to hit screens on September 28. Music for the film is by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Interestingly, the actor and filmmaker duo, Ravi and Ahmed had teamed up for Jana Gana Mana a few years ago, but the film has been temporarily shelved after the pandemic.
