A freak accident on the set of Vishal's Mark Antony involving a truck that lost control has got the entire industry talking. It was only recently that Vijay Antony had met with a serious accident during the shoot of Pichaikkaran 2 and a stuntman lost his life after an accident on the set of Vetri Maaran's Viduthalai. Here are a few films where an accident brought the shoot to a standstill.

Mark Antony

The team of Adhik Ravichandran's Mark Antony was shooting a stunt scene involving Vishal and SJ Suryah, when a truck that lost control rammed through the set that was erected for the shoot and came straight headed towards the people on the set. Luckily, no one got injured. Vishal later tweeted that the truck missed him by a matter of seconds.

Pichaikaaran 2


Vijay Antony met with a serious accident on the sets of his upcoming film Pichaikkaran 2 in Langkawi, Malaysia. The scene involved Vijay Antony riding a speedboat and the actor had lost control and the boat rammed a bigger boat. Vijay Antony suffered major injuries on his nose and jaw. He is recovering in Chennai after surgery.

Viduthalai


A stunt sequence was being canned at Unamancheri village near Vandalur and the stunt performers were attached to a rope but the rope snapped when ace stuntman Suresh jumped for his scene. Suresh was rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to the injuries. The incident also left another stuntman injured.

Indian 2
Though the shoot for Kamal Haasan and Shankar's Indian 2 had begun way back in 2020, it had to be immediately put on hold after a fatal accident on the sets. A crane that was used on the set came crashing and fell on the crew below. Four people lost their lives and many more got injured. The makers provided Rs 1 crore each to the families of the bereaved.
