The trailer of Vishal's upcoming film Mark Antony was released recently and it has already received 20 million views within a span of two days. The film, which stars Vishal and SJ Suryah in the lead, is directed by Adhik Ravichandran, and is based on the concept of time travel.
Vishal was elated with the response to the trailer
The actor, who is now in Mumbai for the promotions of the film, dropped off a message from the airport on social media handle. Sharing that he was extremely happy delighted with the response wrote on his social media handle, "Extremely happy & delighted with the super positive response for #MarkAntonyTrailer in both Tamil & Telugu.
With heartfelt gratitude, I thank each and everyone for the overwhelming support and I am pretty sure you will all love the movie releasing on September 15 in Tamil & Telugu and on September 22 in Hindi. Trailer launched by Karthi and Rana Daggubati
Vishal had earlier announced today that Karthi and Rana Daggubati were to launch the trailer of the Tamil and Telugu version of the film. Karthi wrote on his social media handle, "The idea of a Time Machine in the hands of gangsters is cracking. The cast makes it even more exciting. Wishing dear @VishalKOfficial @iam_SJSuryah and team a grand success (sic)."
Highlights of the trailer
The trailer revolves around how a bunch of gangsters, played by Vishal and SJ Suryah, use a time machine to travel back in time and where they encounter unique experiences, including Mark trying to kill his father Antony. Will they be able to take revenge on their nemesis?
Cast and technical team
While Ritu Varma plays the leading lady, the supporting cast includes Sunil, Selvaraghavan, Abhinaya, Kingsley and YG Mahendran. Music for the film is by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Abhinandan Ramanujam, and editing by Vijay Velukutty. Peter Hein, Dhilip Subbarayan, Kanal Kannan, and Dinesh Subbarayan have choreographed the action sequences. Mark Antony will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam and is bankrolled by S Vinod Kumar.
