The countdown to Kiccha Sudeep’s next release, Mark, has begun and after days of teasing that the trailer was on its way “soon”, the Kannada superstar announced today just when to expect it. The trailer of Mark will drop as early as December 7, at 11.58 am, which, according to the team will be a thunderous blast of action and emotion. The hope now, of course, is that unlike the trailer of Max, which was leaked online forcing the team to then officially release it hurriedly, Mark’s arrival will be less chaotic and as per plan.
Mark is Sudeep’s second consecutive film with Max maker Vijay Kartikeyaa, which, the filmmaker has promised will have far more fan moments and elevations than their earlier collaboration. Max was Vijay’s debut directorial and told a story that unfolded in one night, which did well at the box office and was widely appreciated for delivering on the promise of an action-packed entertainment.
The film went on floors in July this year, and even though Sudeep had said that he was targeting a Christmas release yet again, given that Max did well for him in that holiday window, not many thought that it would be doable. Yet the team did exactly that – they finished the film in early November and post-production has been going on at tremendous pace.
Mark, according to sources, has a large star cast comprising actors from across industries and will release with dubbed versions. Sudeep is said to have dubbed for himself in the Kannada, Tamil and Telugu versions. The actor is apparently playing a fearless and brutal cop called Ajay Markanday, with Guru Somasundaram, Naveen Chandra, Roshni Prakash, Archana Kottige, Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Yogi Babu, Mahantesh Hiremath and Nishvika Naidu, among others on the confirmed cast list.
