Mark movie box office collection day 1: Kichcha Sudeepa’s action thriller opening does not surpass Max; mints Rs 6.28 cr

Mark, the 2025 Kannada action thriller starring actor Kichcha Sudeepa in the lead role, is now running in theatres. The film, which received mix reviews from critics, has managed to make Rs 6 crore at the box office on its opening day.

Kannada actor Kichcha Sudeepa made a comeback in exactly one year after the release of Max last Christmas, with Mark. The film hit theatres for the occasion of Christmas and marks the second collaboration with director Vijay Karthikeyaa who had helmed Max as well. A yet another action thriller with Kichcha Sudeepa playing a cop, here is Mark’s opening collection.

As per Sacnilk, Mark has made Rs 6.28 crore on Thursday and about Rs 0.06 crore on Friday so far. With a total collection of Rs 6.34 crore, the film still has Christmas weekend to cover, with audience turnover expected. Mark's major collection comes from Kannada release, which includes Rs 6.25 crore, followed by Telugu contribution of Rs 0.03 crore. It is to be noted that Mark did not break the opening collection record of the star’s previous film Max. The latter had made Rs 8.50 crore on its first day at the Indian box office.

What is Mark all about?

In Mark, Kichcha Sudeepa plays the role of Ajay Markandaya, a cop on suspension who gets to revoke it by ousting a politician. Besides the Kannada star, the film features Yogi Babu, Naveen Chandra, Vikranth, Guru Somasundaram, Dragon Manju, Roshni Prakash, Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Archana Kottige, Dev Gill, Arul Dass, GM Kumar, Krishnapriya, Deepshika, Mahantesh Hiremath, Pratap Narayan and Shine Tom Chacko, among others.

It is directed by filmmaker Vijay Karthikeyaa, who also directed Max. The film is shot by cinematographer Shekar Chandru, while music is scored by Ajaneesh B Loknath. Mark is expected to stream on ZEE5 after its theatrical run but no official confirmation has been done so far.
