It’s confirmed, Kannada actor Kiccha Sudeep’s latest Christmas release Mark has an OTT release date and it is exactly what OTTplay had predicted. Mark’s digital streaming rights had been procured by JioHotstar prior to the film’s theatrical release and a 30-day deal was the most likely. As such, January 23, 2026 was the speculated date and turns out, we were not wrong. Mark is indeed dropping on JioHotstar on January 23 and what’s even more interesting, is that it is clashing with 45 yet again.
| TITLE | Mark |
| DIRECTOR | Vijay Kartikeyaa |
| CAST | Kiccha Sudeep, Guru Somasundaram, Naveen Chandra, Vikranth, Yogi Babu, Deepshikha, Roshni Prakash, Archana Kottige, Pratap Narayan, Dragon Manju |
| STREAMING PLATFORM | JioHotstar (via OTTplay Premium also) |
| STREAMING DATE | January 23, 2026 |
The films had released simultaneously in theatres, with Mark faring marginally better than 45 at the box office, although both did not register great numbers. 45 is headed to Zee5 on January 23, so the question for Kannada audiences is, which film will they watch first. Both Mark and 45 will be available on OTTplay Premium as well.
Mark, directed by Max maker Vijay Kartikeyaa, was pretty much in the same template as the actor-director’s previous collaboration. This time around, Sudeep was SP Ajay Markandaya, aka Mark, who is on suspension owing to the machinations of a crooked politician. When Mark’s mother is attacked while out shopping and the house help’s daughter who was with her at the time is abducted, he promises to bring the child back home safely.
Turns out, the girl is one of many others who’d gone missing in recent times, pointing to the re-emergence of a kidnapping ring. Can Mark find the children before it is too late, while also figuring out a way to rein in the politician who got him suspended? This and much more was crammed into the narrative of Mark.

Ajaneesh Loknath returned as music director, his third consecutive project with Sudeep after Vikrant Rona and Max. The cast included the likes of Naveen Chandra, Guru Somasundaram, Yogi Babu, Dragon Manju, Vikranth, Pratap Narayan, Roshni Prakash, Archana Kottige, Deepshikha, Gopalkrishna Deshpande, among others.
Q. Is Mark the Max sequel?
A. There have been rumours that director Vijay Kartikeyaa rebranded the script for Max 2 as Mark, but the filmmaker has negated this, stating that the nuances of the character in Mark are very different from Max's Arjun Mahakshay.
Q. Who all are on the vast cast of Mark?
A. Mark stars Kiccha Sudeep, Guru Somasundaram, Naveen Chandra, Vikranth, Yogi Babu, Shine Tom Chacko, Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Mahantesh Hiremath, Dragon Manju, Roshni Prakash, Archana Kottige, Deepshika, among others.
Q. Where can one watch Mark?
A. Mark is currently in theatres, having released on December 25, 2025. The film's post-theatrical streaming rights are with JioHotstar (also available via OTTPlay Premium), and a January 23 premiere has been announced.
