The explosive trailer of Kiccha Sudeep’s Christmas release, Mark is finally here and well, the first impression is that it is an extension of his film Max . It’s not surprising – Mark is Sudeep’s new film with Max maker Vijay Kartikeyaa, and the buzz was that the script was meant to be Max 2, which, could not materialize. Max was then rechristened Mark and Sudeep got a hair makeover, but remained a cop under suspension.
Mark is Max to the power of n?
While Max was a tale that unfolded over the course of one night; in Mark it seems that Sudeep’s got a little more time, but not too much, given that the fate of a bunch of kidnapped children is in his hands. He’s also got to deal with a politician who was instrumental in getting him suspended. Vijay’s film brings actors like Shine Tom Chacko, Vikranth, Yogi Babu and Guru Somasundaram to Kannada cinema. The ensemble cast also includes Roshni Prakash, Archana Kottige, Pratap Narayan, Yogi Babu, Raghu Ramanakoppa, Mahantesh Hiremath, Ashwin Hassan, among others.
The film will be in theatres on December 25, 2025, as promised, even though the team went on floors only in early July. In a little over 100 days, the film was completed and is, reportedly being released in multiple languages. Sudeep has dubbed for his character in the Kannada, Tamil and Telugu versions.
Technical crew includes music is by Ajaneesh Loknath, cinematography by Shekar Chandra, production design by Shivakumar J, stunts by stunt Silva, Supreme Sundar, Ravi Verma, Kevin Kumar, Vikram Mor and Subramani, while choreography is by, Shobhi Paulraj, Dinesh, Rajakalai Kumar.
