Marry Me: Jennifer Lopez to be back on screen with a rom-com with Owen Wilson this Valentine's month

Pop sensation and celebrated actor Jennifer Lopez is all set to return to the cinema with her upcoming romantic comedy Marry Me. The film also features Owen Wilson and Latin music star Maluma in leading roles. The movie is packed with the original songs by both the singers, JLo and Maluma. 

The film revolves around singing sensation Kat Valdez (Lopez) who announces that she would get married to hot new music supernova Bastian (Malum) at a ticketed event in front of 2 million people. But while she is on stage, she learns that Bastian has cheated on her. As an impulse reaction, she gets married to a high school divorcee Charlie Gilbert (Wilson) whom she finds in the crowd, holding a placard unwillingly, which reads, "Marry me?" They get married and what follows is a series of fun events as shown in the trailer. Wilson is seen struggling to adjust to her happening life, being chased after the paparazzi and worrying if she'd go back to Bastian who shows up again in her life, apologising and not accepting Kat's marriage to Charlie. An unlikely romance about two people searching for something real in a world where value is based on likes, views and followers, Marry Me is a modern love story about celebrities, marriages and social media.

The good news for JLO fans is that movie is releasing during Valentine's week in India. Directed by Kat Coiro, the film also stars John Bradley (Moonfall, Game of Thrones), Michelle Buteau (Michelle Buteau: Welcome to Buteaupia) and Utkarsh Ambudkar (Mulan). The screenplay of the film by John Rogers, Tami Sagher and Harper Dill is based on the graphic novel by Bobby Crosby.
