Martin teaser: Amazing visuals and BGM, but does the story also measure up, wonder netizens

Last evening, the first teaser of Dhruva Sarja’s Martin dropped. His fans lapped it up, thrilled with the high-octane spectacle that unfolded onscreen. Interestingly, the teaser was also to the satisfaction of regular moviegoers, who have been less than pleased with the actor’s last outing, Pogaru and were expecting something similar, especially after Dhruva said a cringe-worthy line from Martin at a public event.

What worked for the teaser that director AP Arjun presented is that he kept it simple, focusing on the film’s core strength – action. There were a lot of shots from various stunt sequences, which put Dhruva’s massive physical transformation for the role in the spotlight. In the time since the teaser came out, a lot of praise has come forth for the quality of making, cinematographer Satya Hegde’s amazing camerawork, background score by Ravi Basrur and the action pieces. The teaser, said netizens, has the look and feel of the next big thing from Kannada cinema. There was a rejoinder, though, as the hope now is that the story will also live up to the hype created by the teaser. The fact that Action King Arjun Sarja has written the story is what is giving netizens hope that Martin may not be bad after all.
