Masaba Masaba Season 2: Masaba Gupta begins filming, announces with quirky video

Ace fashion designer Masaba Gupta made her acting debut with the show Masaba Masaba streaming on Netflix. A scripted version of her life, she played herself along with her mother Neena Gupta. The six-episode series became an instant hit and is renewed for the second season. Now, finally, the shooting for Masaba Masaba 2 has kickstarted and the announcement for the same has been made by Masaba as well as Netflix India.

In the video, the crew and a few cast members of the show are searching for Masaba asking 'Where is Masaba?'. Towards the end, the designer turned actor makes an appearance with her clapperboard and says, "I am here, guys. Let's roll."

While captioning the video on her Instagram page, Masaba writes, "Twice the drama. Twice the fashion. The same number of Masabas. #MasabaMasaba Season 2 is now filming!!!"

The supporting cast of the show includes Neil Bhoopalam, Rytasha Rathore, Tanuj Virwani Smaran Sahu, Nayan Shukla, Pooja Bedi and Satyadeep Mishra.

In the show, one got a sneak-peek into Masaba's real-life divorce with Madhu Mantena, wherein her current beau Satyadeep played her onscreen estranged husband. 

Moreover, Neena's viral post on seeking a job as an actor also made it to the show. The series also featured her grand comeback stint with the film Badhaai Ho Badhaai co-starring Gajraj Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra and late Surekha Sikri. 

Fans are waiting to see what's in store for them in the second season. The first season is written and directed by Sonam Nair and produced by Ashvini Yardi under the banner Viniyard Films.

Masaba also won awards for her performance in the series including Most Popular Debut in a Web Series and Best Actress in a Comic Role in a Web Series at IWM Buzz Digital Awards season three.
