Netflix has dropped a special look from the making of Master of None season 3. The show is slated to release on the streamer on May 23 from 8 am.

The special look video featured the cast and crew from the show talking about their characters and shooting sequences. The director, writer, co-creator, executive producer and the leading man of the show Aziz Ansari named the characters who would be vital to season 3. “The season follows the married life of Denise and her partner Alicia,” said the actor-director.

Talking about her own character, the writer and executive producer Lena Waithe said that in the latest season, Denise is a little bit more distant. “She’s married, and she has a big career as well,” Lena was heard saying. The executive producer Naomi Ackie, who is portraying the role of Denise’s wife Alicia mentioned that the couple is living together in Upstate New York.

The co-creator and executive producer Alan Yang said, “Season three obviously is a departure from the first two seasons. We thought of it as its own standalone film, in some ways.”

The crew members also praised Aziz and said that he has gained so much confidence as a director. “He is such an exciting collaborator and artist to work with,” the editor Jennifer Lilly said.

The third season is said to be a super close examination of Denise-Alicia’s relationship and their internal lives.

The crew members also talked about the fast as well as slow and still shots in the series. The set has a structure, colour and depth that gives a historic vibe.

Lena also spoke about how different each cast member is from one another in terms of background, religion and place but they all are dealing with complicated relationships, which is the common factor among them.
