We remember the exact Maari replica kid in Maari 2, we also know him as the chubby kid in Vijay Sethupathi’s Sethupathi. Now, master Raghavan after making his mark in Tamil cinema in these small roles has been roped in by director Karthik Subbaraj in his next directorial venture. The actor took to his Instagram to share the happy news.

The movie will star Vikram and his son Dhruv Vikram in titular roles. Master Raghavan has already completed his portions for the film that were shot at Kanchipuram. The project is tentatively titled Vikram 60 (marking the 60th film of ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram).

With Vikram60, the father-son duo will be sharing the screen for the first time and the hype is inevitable. Vikram has had a series of failures reducing his once stardom to mere celebrity fame. The humble actor is desperate for a win and Karthik Subbaraj may be able to change the tide.

Vikram was last seen in Kadaram Kondan, playing an international criminal betrayed by his associates. The movie, released after heavy hype, failed to impress viewers and critics and tanked at the box office. Even before that Vikram has been having a flop streak from 10 Endrathukulla. It is upto Karthik Subbaraj to break the jinx now.

Dhruv Vikram is also naturally enthusiastic about sharing screen time with his father. He had earlier expressed his desire to work with his father during the shoot of Varmaa and Adithya Varma, his previous movies. Karthik Subbaraj’s last film Jagame Thandhiram starring Dhanush released directly on Netflix. Although the film failed to win over critics, it enjoyed widespread viewership because of the lead actors’ performances as well as the rustic charm that Karthik Subbaraj gave to Tamil gangs in London.
