MasterChef India Season 7: Here’s what judges Vikas Khanna, Ranveer Brar, Garima Arora are looking for in home chefs

India’s most beloved cooking reality show, MasterChef India is on its way to bring the best of culinary delights to the silver screen yet again. Season seven of the show will see aspiring home cooks from across the country come together to put their culinary skills to the test before some of the best chefs in the country, Vikas Khanna, Ranveer Brar and Garima Arora, who serve as the judges on the latest season. And it seems that the trio are already clear about what they are looking forward to in the new season.

A new promo for the show features the three judges talking about what they are looking for in the new home chefs. Garima announces that she is looking for a home cook who is both a tastemaker and a changemaker, while Ranveer is looking forward to hear the ‘masaaledaar’ backstories that led each home cook to step forth onto the MasterChef stage. Vikas declares that the next MasterChef will be the one whose food not only wins their taste buds, but also their hearts.

Part of the caption of the promo, shared by Sony TV, read “Humaare judges Chef Garim Arora, Chef Ranvir Brar aur Chef Vikas Khanna karne wale hain India ke next #MasterChef ki khoj, jo hoga change maker aur jiske haathon ka zaayka chhuyega logon ki rooh!”

This season, auditions for the show were held in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata. With her appearance on the new season, Garima, of Chef Table’s fame, will become the first ever female chef to be a judge on MasterChef India. The previous season of the popular cooking reality show was won by Abhinas Nayak.

MasterChef India Season 7 will premiere on January 2, tonight, at 9 PM, on SonyLIV and Sony Television.
