MasterChef India has been a resounding success across multiple seasons, reaching out to culinary enthusiasts across various parts of the country, both on OTT and television. While the Hindi adaptation of the globally acclaimed show continues to be widely watched, the show-creators are gearing up to launch the Telugu version, MasterChef India Telugu, directly on Sony LIV soon.

The first promo for MasterChef India Telugu was launched recently. The glimpse introduces us to the judging panel of the show: celebrity chefs Sanjay Thumma, Nikitha Umesh and Chalapathi Rao. While Chalapathi Rao calls cooking a science, Sanjay Thumma refers to it as art, with Nikitha Umesh addressing it as a feeling of love. The show promises a never-seen-before peek into Telugu cuisine.

“You’ll look at what you already know in a different light and be introduced to new flavours with passion,” Chalapathi Rao says. "Every day a dish awaits you. Why don’t we try it?” his panel counterparts ask. MasterChef India Telugu introduces your passion to the world, arriving soon on Sony LIV, they say before signing off, keeping viewers curious about the show launch date.

With the Telugu (and Tamil) adaptation of the show, the MasterChef India franchise hopes to strike a chord with crowds by understanding cultural nuances specific to a region. They feel India is a country that offers several cross-cultural prospects, with every region possessing a unique culinary identity. Through the regional formats, MasterChef India seeks to honour the diversity in the country.

The auditions for MasterChef India Telugu will be held across the country for the new editions. The show promises to be a culmination of suspense, innovation, and culinary brilliance. Meanwhile, MasterChef India will have a Tamil adaptation as well, where the judging panel comprises chefs Koushik Shankar, Shreeya Adka and Rakesh Raghunathan.
