Things are going good for Jessica Henwick as after recently landing a lead role in the upcoming The Matrix movie, she is now all set to join the star-studded cast of Rian Johnson's next instalment of Knives Out. The much-anticipated movie will see Daniel Craig reprise his role from the prequel as Rian Johnson takes on the director's role once again.
The first instalment of the Knives Out franchise focused on Daniel Craig's private detective character Benoit Blanc as he goes on investigating the death of an affluent true-crime novelist with his family members being murder suspects. The film was a huge success for Johnson and Lionsgate Studios, cashing in over $311 million against its $40 million budget, along with rave reviews from critics and fans alike. In March early this year, Deadline reported that Netflix was closing a historic deal worth $400 million for the next two instalments, turning Knives Out into a franchise.
As production nears its start, Jessica Henwick is set to join the star ensemble alongside big names like Daniel Craig, Dave Bautista, Kate Hudson, Edward Norton, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., and Janelle Monáe. The upcoming movie will see Craig's detective character Blanc take on yet another intriguing case. Further plot details about the movie are kept under wraps. Shooting for the project is reported to commence from June 28 in Greece.
