Matthew McCoughney, best remembered for his role in Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, hosted a chat show with Indian spiritual guru Sadhguru. The duo discussed various topics like yoga, karma and religion among others.

In the one hour video, Sadhguru, sitting in Georgia, explained Matthew (currently in Texas) the philosophy of life over a video chat and rendered him speechless. They also spoke about yoga and how it means ‘to be one with nature.’

While Sadhguru explained that human intelligence creates more problems when ideally it should solve them, Matthew was left with no words. The yogi also went on to explain why he tells people, “I hope your dreams do not come true.” He explained that if people reach the finish line, they have nothing more to explore and thus, it is better that they constantly search for newer things and enjoy the moment they live in.

In his recent book Green Lights, Matthew had opened up about his life experiences. He shared, “Recently, I worked up the courage to sit down with those diaries. I found stories I experienced, lessons I learned and forgot, poems, prayers, prescriptions, beliefs about what matters, some great photographs, and a whole bunch of bumper stickers. I found a reliable theme, an approach to living that gave me more satisfaction, at the time, and still: If you know how, and when, to deal with life’s challenges—how to get relative with the inevitable—you can enjoy a state of success I call catching green lights.”

Earlier in 2020, Sadhguru had also interacted with another Hollywood star Will Smith.
