Max Sneak Peek: After an early version of the teaser was leaked, Kiccha Sudeep had to officially release the same earlier than planned, and the edit was not up to the mark.

On December 6, a video was circulated on social media, which had glimpses from Kiccha Sudeep’s upcoming Max. This ‘leaked’ video was watermarked for ‘Sudeep sir reference’, hinting that the leak came from the actor’s inner circle. While the video quality on that version was not great, it was passable, with the audio and BGM also decently balanced.
This same video was then officially released by Sudeep on his social media handles earlier than was initially planned, by which time, it had undergone further editing – this time, the video was great, but the audio mixing was not. The background score was so overwhelming that the voices of the actors got drowned out.

With Max set to hit theatres on December 25, fans are, of course, unimpressed with the quality of promotional stuff that is being delivered by the team. One fan tried to reason that the audio was calibrated for bigger sound systems, but then promotional videos are almost always seen first on a mobile phone.
Comments ranged from, “Which intern cut this teaser. BG is higher than dialogue. If it was done on purpose for PR, then very bad!!!”, to “Yenadru ondhu irat alro ee team du, firstu video leak, amel ardha mardha edit agiro video, ivaga sari agi mix agde iro video, Sudeep sir as a fan i'm feeling totally bad, you are in a bad position, start taking the competition seriously, you should up your game, you are in bad position!”, “Video Quality Is Good, Highly Disappointed With BGM And Cuts, Donno. The sneak peek, which has been doing the rounds on social media since last night, introduces audiences to the angry cop Arjun Mahakshay, whose fist does a lot of the talking. It’s action-packed and just what fans wanted to see. Alas, it wasn’t packaged well enough.
