Since the OTT industry has taken over, anticipating new TV shows and films have become more and more. Your favourites streaming services are getting a tonne of interesting new content this month.
Without a doubt, audiences will have a hard time choosing and hence here are some OTT shows to add to your May 2023 watch list:
Yeh Meri Family Season 2:
Yeh Meri Family on TVF was a success thanks to the audience's fondness of 90s nostalgia. Yeh Meri Family's second season has been released by TVF following the first season's broadcast in 2018. The plot will once again centre on a middle-class family with a 1990s theme, but with a different cast this time. On May 19th, Yeh Meri Family's second season will release, and viewers will be able to watch it online via Amazon miniTV.
Citadel:
Amazon Prime web series Citadel, is created by the Russo Brothers. The main plot of Citadel is around a spy agency that is about to go extinct unless its top-tier agents take back control. In Citadel, spies Nadia (Priyanka) and Mason (Richard) engage in adventure, drama, and romance. Up to the May 26 debut of the finale, new episodes of Citadel will be released every Friday.
Modern Love Chennai:
The official trailer of the new Amazon Prime Video series Modern Love Chennai was recently released. Bharathiraja, Balaji Sakthivel, Thiagarajan Kumararaja, Rajumurugan, Krishnakumar Ramakumar, and Akshay Sundher are the directors of this installment of the anthology series. Ritu Varma, Ashok Selvan, Ramya Nambessan, Wamiqa, Sri Gouri Priya, Samyuktha Vishwanathan, Pawan Alex, Aniruth Kanakarajan, T J Bhanu, Sanjula Sarathi, Chu Khoy Sheng, Srikrishna Dayal, Vasudevan Murali, Vasundhara, Kishore, and Vijayalakshmi all appear in the show. Modern Love Chennai is all set to release on Prime Video on May 18.
Inspector Avinash:
This real-life-based crime drama series centres on Inspector Avinash Mishra's (played by Randeep Hooda) experience as a member of the special task unit. The 1997-set series centres on Uttar Pradesh supercop Avinash Mishra as he advances to confront the head of the firearms mafia. The show will premiere on Jio Cinema from May 18, 2023.
Jury Duty:
Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky are the creators of the mockumentary sitcom series Jury Duty. The television show, which stars Ronald Gladden, follows the inner workings of a jury trial in the US via the eyes of juror Ronald Gladden, who is a solar contractor and is unaware that his summons for jury duty was not real, and that everyone else in the courtroom is an actor. The show released on Amazon Prime Video on May 15.
Dahaad:
‘Dahaad', starring Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah and Sohum Shah, is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The eight-episode series is co-written by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar. The story of the show revolves around Anjali Bhaati (Sonakshi Sinha) who is investigating a serious case involving a fugitive criminal. It is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Kagti, and Zoya Akhtar. It is presented by Excel Media & Entertainment and Tiger Baby.
