Malayalam film, Mayavanam, has made it to digital space. The thriller, which debuted in theatres in January this year, is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Jagathlal Chandrasekharan has directed this movie, which features Jaffer Idukki in a key role.
Recently, the digital streaming platform started to show some Malayalam films that were not given much attention after being released in theatres. Although Mayavanam's theatrical run was not particularly successful, its slow-burning plot and performers won praise. The film can currently be rented, but it is expected to be available for free soon.
Vishesham made its digital debut earlier this week. The three most recent Malayalam films available on Amazon Prime Video are Darshana Rajendran's Paradise, Vishnu Unnikrishnan's Kallanum Bhagavathiyum, and Ranjith Sajeev's Golam. Currently, Cheena Trophy, which stars Dhyan Sreenivasan, may also be rented on the site. Asif Ali's thriller, Level Cross, is also expected to make it onto the platform soon, according to the latest reports.
With a captivating story, Mayavanam transports viewers on a thrilling voyage into an unknown land. Four best friends from a medical school go on a seemingly hiking trip in the isolated wilderness in search of excitement and adrenaline rush. The movie is centred on the unexpected events that follow during their trip. But when they become engaged in a string of crises that push them to the brink of survival, their adventure takes an unexpected turn. With Jaffer Idukki, Adithya Sai, Amina Nijam, Alencier Ley Lopez, Sreekanth Murali, and Senthil Krishna in key parts, the movie has an impressive cast.
The technical crew expertly crafts the film's gripping story, smoothly navigating its narrative without ambiguity. It heightens the suspense and certainly does not cease to keep the audience on the brink of their seats, offering an entire harrowing ride. The movie is bankrolled by Saisoorya Films, and the director wrote the screenplay. Jomon Thomas is the cinematographer, while, Samjith Mohammad has handled the editing work.
