Kamal Haasan is quite busy with the promotions of his upcoming film Vikram, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The Ulaganayagan is currently in Mumbai kickstarting the promotions for the Hindi version of the film. Vikram has Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil, too, as part of the star cast.
In the meantime, the actor is expected to resume work on his other project, Indian 2, directed by Shankar. The film is a sequel to Indian (1996), which was also helmed by Shankar. Interestingly, American make-up artist Michael Westmore, who is best known for his work in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise and The Mask, had done the make-up of the older version of Kamal Haasan in the original. Since then, Kamal Haasan had stayed in touch with the artist. Kamal had collaborated with him for Dasavatharam and Westmore had also provided advice to the actor for his make-up in Avvai Shanmugi.
It is said that Kamal Haasan even underwent training with the Academy award-winning make-up artist to learn the art of make-up.
Michael Westmore' daughter McKenzie Westmore, who plays Sheridan Crane Lopez-Fitzgerald on the television series Passions, had shared a fond memory of her and her father with Ulaganayagan.
She shared a throwback picture in which she and along with her father is seen wearing attire gifted by Kamal Haasan. She wrote on her micro-blogging page, “Many have asked if I know @ikamalhaasan well here ya go :) my dad used to create his makeups when I was a little girl. We keep in touch but the last I saw Kamal was a few years back. The 2nd photo is me and my dad in beautiful clothing given to us as a gift from Kamal.”
And now, the actress had taken to her micro-blogging page to share that Kamal Haasan is part of the family. Sharing a picture with Kamal, she wrote, "One of my favorite people and part of our family #KamalHaasan (sic)."
