Meenakshi Chaudhary, who made her tinsel town debut with Sushanth starrer Ichata Vahanamulu Nilupa Radu, is back with a high-profile bilingual project, Khiladi, where she shares screen space with Ravi Teja. The actress, who's on a roll in Telugu cinema with several biggies in the pipeline, talked about her experiences on Khiladi sets in a media interaction in Hyderabad.

"It was a big task for me to learn Telugu dialogues. When I was offered to be a part of a Ravi Teja film, it was a no brainer, I had to say yes. His comic timing is indeed impeccable. I had to work hard to match up to Ravi Teja's energy. When I was facing a few hassles with some scenes, he was quite understanding and gave me the space to perform to my full potential. I enjoyed working on Khiladi," she said.

She didn't wish to spill the beans about her role in the film but shared, "I don't judge any film by the screen space for my character. I only look at the character's signficance in driving the story forward. I couldn't have asked for a better role only in my second film. In acting school too, we were advised not to judge the roles we play."

All that the Miss India winner managed to say was that she and Dimple (Hayathi) are cast in roles who come in the way of the character(s) played by Ravi Teja. "I had a wonderful time working with Dimple and she is so amiable with everyone on sets," she has kind words to say about her co-star. Meenakshi has been in the news for her intimate scenes in Khiladi but justifies the same by telling that commercial cinema is a potpourri of many emotions and as actors she makes sure of not crossing the line.

"Ramesh Varma had informed me well in advance that Khiladi would have a few intimate sequences, it's mainstream cinema after all. It's a blend of navarasas," Meenakshi summed it up smartly. Regarding the rumours of her being cast in in Salaar, she mentioned,"It's not confirmed as of now. I have worked on Hit 2 and Vijay Antony's Kolai. Both films are slated for a release shortly. I'm about the sign the dotted line for two other projects as well."

Khiladi releases in Hindi and Telugu on February 11.
