Even though it has been a while that Meera Jasmine was away from the silver screen, it is certain the Malayali audiences wouldn’t have forgotten their cheerful actress yet. As the actress has decided to be back in the cinema again, her fans are delighted and are eagerly waiting for more updates.
While speaking to the press after receiving UAE’s golden visa, the Bhadra actress talked about her decision to be active in films again. She also thinks it’s a blessing to associate with Sathyan Anthikkad for the comeback and hopes this would be a great opening for her. The yet-to-be-titled movie will also feature Jayaram as the male lead.
The movie will mark Meera’s fifth collaboration with the director, as the duo has already been a hit combination with movies like Rasathanthram, Achuvinte Amma, Innathe Chinthavishayam and Vinodayatra. Meera, who was last seen in the 2016 movie Pathu Kalpanakal, is making a full-swing comeback after a gap of five years.
The movie will also feature Devika Sanjay, Innocent, Sreenivasan and Siddique in supporting roles. Penned by Dr Iqbal Kuttippuram, the movie is bankrolled by Central Pictures, who is famed for producing the 2013 hit rom-com Oru Indian Pranayakadha starring Fahadh Faasil and Amala Paul.
Meanwhile, Jayaram appeared last in Amazon Prime Video’s anthology Putham Pudhu Kalai, which was shot during the lockdown. He will be also playing a major role in the Telugu upcoming Radhe Shyam, and in Mani Ratnam’s epic magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan.
