We had earlier reported that the upcoming romantic comedy film Pon Ondru Kanden, starring actors Aishwarya Lekshmi, Ashok Selvan and Vasanth Ravi, will have a direct OTT premiere. The film will be out on JioCinema on April 14. With the film nearing its release, the makers have recently released the character posters of the lead cast. The film will also have a TV premiere on Colors Tamil and will be released on the occasion of Tamil New Year.

The breezy entertainer will feature a love triangle between the leads, with Aishwarya at the centre. While she will play the role of Sandy, Ashok Selvan and Vasanth Ravi will play Siva and Sai, respectively. It will be interesting to see how the film will shape up, given it’s the first time the actors are coming together onscreen.

Pon Ondru Kanden is directed by filmmaker Priya V Kamakshi. The makers had recently released the single Sun Light, composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. It is to be noted that recently, the cast and crew had expressed their displeasure of the film’s direct TV premiere.
Vasanth Ravi, one of the lead actors, was open to talk about his displeasure about keeping the team uninformed about the TV premiere of Pon Ondru Kanden. He had alleged that the team of the film were kept in the dark about the television premiere of the same.
Meanwhile, all three lead actors have an exciting line-up of films. While Aishwarya Lekshmi is part of Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam, Ashok Selvan is set to star in Gangs- Kuruthi Punal, an upcoming Prime Video series. Vasanth Ravi, on the other hand, has films Indra and Weapon in the making.
