Indrajith Sukumaran has a slew of police roles coming up. After Kurup, the actor will next be seen playing a cop in M Padmakumar’s thriller Pathaam Valavu. The movie’s latest poster was unveiled through the actor’s social media page today.
Also starring Suraj Venjaramoodu, Aditi Ravi and Swasika, the movie is scripted by Abhilash Pillai, who will also be seen in a pivotal role in the film, as revealed in the poster. The poster that was released ahead of the New Year, showed Indrajith’s character along with other cops played by Sohan Seenulal, Abhilash and Aneesh G Menon, as they wait for somebody outside their police vehicle.
In an earlier interview, Abhilash had told us that the thriller is based on real-life incidents that shook Kerala a few years ago. The first poster also revealed that while Indrajith is playing a police officer, Suraj’s character is a convict. The second promo from the film showed a glimpse of Suraj and Aditi Ravi’s characters.
Incidentally, Indrajith also plays a cop in Vysakh’s Night Drive, which will also be released soon. The movie too is scripted by Abhilash. Indrajith had earlier told us that his role in Night Drive is that of a stylish cop.
The actor will also be seen donning the khaki in majority of his upcoming releases including Ratheesh Ambat’s Theerpu and his Kollywood venture Mohandas, which has Vishnu Vishal in the lead. “So, there are a lot of cop roles in store and I have put in a lot of effort to make them different from one another. Also, the stories and backdrops they are set in are different,” he had told OTTplay.
Meanwhile, Indrajith will next be seen in Rajeev Ravi’s period drama Thuramukham, which is set for a January 20 release. The movie also has Nivin Pauly, Joju George and Poornima Indrajith in pivotal roles.
