We had reported recently that Love Mocktail 2 girl Rachel David has been roped in to play the female lead in Deepak Madhuvanalli’s romantic comedy. Also starring Milind Manjunath of Weekend fame, the film’s story has been written by D. Satya Prakash (Rama Rama Re..., Man of the Match, etc.) with Deepak Madhuvanahalli co-writing the screenplay with him. Ahead of the first schedule of the shoot, the makers have unveiled the title and the very first poster of the film.

The Rachel David – Milind Manjunath is titled Unlock Raghava: the poster unveils the lead pair’s respective first looks with Rachel seated inside a vintage car of some sort. The leading man Milind brandishes a massive key (like a guitar) to the lock that has kept his lady love trapped inside the car, while a distance sign board suggests a journey to be on the cards for the duo. Recent reports have also revealed that Unlock Raghava is centered on a 500-year-old antique and going by that, one can expect the film to feature portions of romance and mystery in equal measure. Senior actors Ramesh Bhat, Avinash, and Sadhu Kokila too are reportedly part of the cast.

The title of the film was recently launched at a special event with Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar and others in attendance. Speaking of the film and his character, Milind Manjunath said:

“I play the titular character of Raghava in the film, who’s a gifted and very passionate lock opener. But when one gets “locked-in” by love and life, things get tricky but in an endearing way: the film is a rom-com so there is a love story at its heart but told in a light-hearted manner”. He added that Rachel David plays the role of Janaki in the film.

While Deepak Madhuvanalli (known for directing films like Bhagyaraj and Kalbettada Darodekoraru) takes control of the project as the director, D. Satya Prakash will also be producing the film along with Manjunath D under the banner of Satya and Mayura Pictures. J. Anoop Seelin will be scoring the music and Lavith is the in charge of cinematography, with Ajay Kumar coming onboard as the editor.
