Meezaan on Chura Ke Dil Mera 2.0: Honoured to be a part of the reminiscent

After dropping some peppy tracks from Hungama 2 titled Chura Ke Dil Mera 2.0 and Chinta Na Kar, the makers have released a making video of the former song. Chura Ke Dil Mera 2.0 is an upbeat version of Akshay Kumar and Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s Chura Ke Dil Mera from the 1994 film Main Khiladi Tu Anari.

The making video seems as energetic as the song from Hungama 2. With the main featurette of the song, the crew members of the film can also be seen in the latest video. During the making, Meezaan is heard saying that he’s honoured to be a part of the reminiscent song, while Shilpa shares, “It’s the song that has been timeless. I was telling Meezaan that after 25 years, I’ll be dancing on this with your son.” 

While one of the makers revealed in the video that initially some of them were not agreed to include the latest version of this iconic 90s song. While choreographer Brinda Master honoured Saroj Khan, who directed the original song, she also expressed her happiness to work with Shilpa again.

Talking about her generation gap from films, the Dhadkan actor said in a recent statement that she belongs to this generation and one has to keep reinventing because change is inevitable and constant. “I really believe that whatever generation you have to fit in and you have to do it seamlessly. This entire transition from past to the present has happened with effort, of course, but it has to look effortless but I am happy that I was able to pull it off with Meezaan, who obviously didn’t belong to the generation I belong to but I think with his help I learnt so much,” Shilpa added about her co-star. 

She further mentioned that she is really happy to still be working and be a part of the industry.

Directed by iconic filmmaker Priyadarshan, Hungama 2 also features Paresh Rawal, Pranitha Subhash, Ashutosh Rana, Johnny Lever and Rajpal Yadav. The comedy-drama film will release on July 23 on Disney+ Hotstar.
