Megha Akash, the Gautham Menon find who debuted with Nithiin’s Lie in Telugu, is wrapping her next, a romantic comedy with Rahul Vijay, at a brisk pace. The film, written and produced by Dear Megha filmmaker Sushanth Reddy, launches the former’s associate Abhimanyu Baddi as a director. The title of the film was announced by the makers today.
The above-mentioned project, touted to be a wacky entertainer, has been titled Maate Mantramu, named after the iconic song from Bharathiraja’s Seethakoka Chiluka. The title was confirmed commemorating the lead actor Rahul's birthday. Megha's mother Bindu Akash presents the film. The film is jointly bankrolled by Abhishek Kota under Kota Film Factory and Trippy Flix Studios
In a media statement, the producers share that the team has wrapped up 90% of the shoot and opine Maate Manthramu is an apt title for this story. While the first schedule was wrapped in Hyderabad, the second schedule was shot significantly in Goa. The Goa backdrop will make the screenplay more entertaining and interesting, they add.
Rajendra Prasad, Vennela Kishore, Abhay Bethiganti, Viva Harsha, Bigboss Siri and others too play important roles in the film. Hari Gowra scores the music while Prawin Pudi is the editor. K.V. Ramana and Manojh Reddy handle art direction and cinematography respectively. Megha Akash also plays a key role in Raviteja’s upcoming courtroom drama Ravanasura.
