Actress Megha Prasad, known for her performances in Gandii Baat (2018) and Game of the Sexes (2021), is joining the cast of Pankhriya Udi Udi, one of the most talked-about series on EORTV. Prasad will be playing the third wheel in season 2 of the show.
She will be joining actors Kavita Banerjee and Snower Sania from Season 1 who are reprising their lead roles in the same-sex relationship drama. The series aims to normalise same-sex relationships and adopts a raw visual approach to convey the true romantic love of two women. Directed by Deepak Pandey, the series is produced by Falguni Shah, Dreamzz Images Studio.
Megha will be seen playing the role of Saima who is carefree and believes in living in the moment. She does not care about the consequences as she believes everything is unpredictable anyway. She enters Arya and Pankhi's life as a breath of fresh air.
Speaking about her role, Megha Prasad said in her press statement that she found the story 'empowering'. She expressed her excitement for the audiences to watch season 2, adding that the drama gets even more intriguing and exciting. "I love the role of Saima and I can relate to her at many levels. She has a weird sense of humour, sometimes it can be wicked, and may seem insensitive to others but that is not the case. She has an irreverence for most things considered so sacred by many people but that also makes her very witty and pungent and care-free," she added.
Deepak Pandey, the director of the series added that Megha's character is an addition to the storyline. The show goes live on April 18 and he said the team cannot wait to see the responses of the audience to this new addition. He also stated that the love and support for Season 1 of the show have been immense and gratifying. "It feels great to see so many people resonate with the story and characters in some way," he said.
The new set of episodes will be out on April 18 on EORTV, which focuses on making content, catering to the LGBTQ+ community in society.
