Meghana Raj Sarja to collaborate with Kantha Kannalli again for Shabda

Meghana Raj Sarja, who was on a long break from acting following the tragic passing of her husband Chiranjeevi Sarja and then the birth of her son, Raayan Raj Sarja, is on the road to an active comeback. The actress, who earlier announced a thriller film to be produced by the late Chiranjeevi’s close pal and filmmaker Pannaga Bharana and directed by newcomer Vishal, is currently on judging duty on a dance reality show.

Earlier today, she announced yet another project. This time around, Meghana will reunite with the team of her earlier film Iruvudellava Bittu, led by director Kantha Kannalli and cinematographer PKH Dass, among others. Iruvudellava Bittu, incidentally, got Meghana a Karnataka state film award for Best Actress, for her role as Poorvi. The film, which had music by Sridhar V Sambhram, brought Tamil star Simbu to Kannada cinema as playback singer for the track, Kuniri Thakkatha. Along with a picture of the actress and the film team, Meghana wrote, “Announcing my next film #Shabda … my previous film with the same team #iruvudellavabittu fetched me the state award and a film crew which im immensely proud of! Working with @kanthakannalli for the 2nd time is definitely a boon. Updates to follow soon. Thank you all once again for ur support and prayers.”

Meghana, who was last seen onscreen in the 2019 Kurukshetra, has Selfie Mummy Google Daddy with Srujan Lokesh up for release, as well as Buddhivanta 2 with Upendra. Interestingly, the dance reality show that she’s judging now, Dancing Champion, is a Srujan Lokesh production. The actress has not revealed if Pannaga’s film will take off first or whether it will be Shabda.
