Mei Hoom Moosa, starring Suresh Gopi and Poonam Bajwa, has the superstar essaying a soldier who is presumed dead

Suresh Gopi’s latest theatrical release Mei Hoom Moosa is soon finding its way to a streaming platform. The makers of the movie recently announced that the film, helmed by Jibu Jacob, will be releasing on an OTT platform in November.
The comedy-drama revolves around the titular character essayed by Suresh Gopi. Muhammed Moosa is presumed dead during the Kargil war by his family and village, which even has a memorial to honour his valiant efforts. But after spending close to 20 years in a jail in Pakistan, Moosa reaches his village. However, not even his family approves of him. How he tries to prove his identity and come to terms with all the changes that have happened in the past two decades form the plot of the movie, which had a theatrical release on September 30.
Suresh Gopi essays two phases of Moosa’s life in the movie, which also has Poonam Bajwa, Saiju Kurup, Hareesh Kanaran, Major Ravi and Salim Kumar. The film will begin streaming on ZEE5 from November 11 onwards.
This is the second Suresh Gopi-starrer that the platform has bagged, the previous one being his biggest hit – Pappan. Mei Hoom Moosa is also Jibu Jacob’s second directorial after Asif Ali and Rajisha Vijayan’s Elaam Sheriyaakum to stream on the platform. ZEE5 has also bagged the streaming rights for Arjun Ashokan’s comedy entertainer Thattassery Kootam, which is set to hit theatres on November 11 after a delay of almost two years due to the pandemic.
Meanwhile, Suresh Gopi has begun work on his next movie titled JSK. The movie, which is helmed by Pravin Narayanan, is a courtroom drama that also has Anupama Parameswaran in a pivotal role. The film is currently being shot at Irinjalakuda. Suresh Gopi’s younger son Madhav will also be making his acting debut with the movie.
