Widley known for mostly action genre flicks, Liam Neeson once again takes audiences’ breath away with Memory. Based on Jef Geeraerts’ bestselling novel, De Zaak Alzheimer, the action-thriller is a remake of the Belgian film, The Alzheimer Case (2003). Released in 2022, Memory had collected $14 million at the box office, worldwide.

Apart from Liam Neeson, the psychological-thriller stars Italian actress Monica Bellucci, Australian actor Guy Pearce, Taj Atwal, RRR-actor Ray Stevenson, and Natalie Anderson. Now after two years, the blockbuster film is coming soon on March March 29, 2024, only on Lionsgate Play.

What does the trailer of Memory show?
In Memory, Liam Neeson plays Alex Lewis, an assassin, with some iconic action skills. He has been given a task to kill someone in Texas. But when he realises it's about killing a child, he refuses. Now this leads to a deadly situation when he hunts down the individual who hired him for the case, and gets some help from a FBI agent. Now the interesting part is, Alex is suffering from Alzheimer disease, and his memory loss is making it harder for him to take any steps or dicisions.
The Belgian film, The Alzheimer Case, also tells an intriguing story of an immigration issue in the US/Mexican border. Liam Nesson's struggling with what's right and what's wrong is is one of the most striking parts of Memory, other than the action sequences. The trailer also discloses some revenge story, which is ofcourse, very much needed. Without any personal connection, the story would not have been heart pounding.
About Liam Neeson's last film
Liam Neeson was last seen in Retribution last year, which is also streaming on Lionsgate Play. There he plays a father’s role, who desparately wants to protect his son from a deadly threat, after receiving a doubtful phone call. With a bomb planted under the driver's seat of his SUV, Matt must follow a series of instructions from a mysterious voice, all while keeping his two teenage children calm.
Retribution has grossed $6.9 million in the US and Canada, and $10.9 million in other territories, for a worldwide total of $17.8 million at the box office.
