Meow teaser: Soubin Shahir, Mamta Mohandas are a married couple in Lal Jose’s family drama

Lal Jose is a director that is loved in Kerala and whose movies have a fan base for themselves. He has also provided some hits collaborating with Dr. Iqbal Kuttipuram. The teaser for the filmmaker's latest movie has dropped on the day of Diwali.

The filmmaker and the actor all shared the teaser on their social media. The teaser starts off with Soubin saying “My old friends only know the old Dasthakeer, a Dostoevsky. Let that remain the same“. All this while the actor is seen celebrating his life in college, in what looks to be in the past. 

The teaser then shifts to the arid Dubai landscape, where we get to see Soubin’s character in the present day, where he has settled in Dubai and owns a convenience store. The teaser also gives us a look at Mamta Mohandas in the movie.

The movie is reportedly about the life of a couple played by Soubin and Mamta, who have moved to Dubai and now have a family and life there. 

Apart from Soubin and Mamta, the movie also stars Salim Kumar in a pivotal role.

Meow is directed by Lal Jose and is written by Dr. Iqbal Kuttipuram, a duo the Malayali audience loves. The movie is backed by Thomas Thiruvalla.  

Arabikadha and Diamond Necklace, two movies that saw Jose and Dr. Iqbal Kuttipuram collaborate, were set in Dubai. Meow looks to follow the same pattern and comes with the tagline “A desert family drama”.

The movie also has music by Justin Varghese , who previously impressed in movies such as Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela and Thaneer Mathan Dinangal.
