Arjun Kapoor's Mere Husband Ki Biwi has been seeing new lows at the Box Office, and the worst one came on first Monday. The film, starring Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh as the female leads, did not even earn a crore on its fourth day, thus failing the Monday litmus test miserably. Earning in lakhs, the movie struggled to earn even Rs. 5 crore at the Box Office within the four days of its release. Here's looking at the day-wise Box Office collection of Mere Husband Ki Biwi...

Mere Husband Ki Biwi first Monday Box Office

The first Monday usually predicts what a film's performance would be like and Mere Husband Ki Biwi, struggling with the downward trend since Sunday, was worst hit on its first Monday. The movie barely earned Rs. 51 lakh.

Mere Husband Ki Biwi barely earns Rs 5 crore

Within four days of its release, Mere Husband Ki Biwi barely earned Rs. 5 crore. It minted Rs. 1.5 crore on Friday, with the highest going to Rs. 1.65 crore on first Saturday. The first drop for this movie came with India vs Pakistan match on Sunday. On day three, Mere Husband Ki Biwi earned Rs. 1.11 crore and with an added Rs. 51 lakh on first Monday (as per Sacnilk), the current Box Office collection for this one is Rs. 4.82 crore net. This is not even close to Rs. 5 crore, which hints that Mere Husband Ki Biwi is a huge flop.

Chhaava effect?

Among the many reasons, the biggest reason for Mere Husband Ki Biwi's failure is its release time. The movie is out in competition with the likes of Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava and Harshvardhan Rane's Sanam Teri Kasam. Both the films have received immense love, and a plot like Mere Husband Ki Biwi is almost no match to the kind of adoration people have for a story like Chhaava. This contributes to Arjun Kapoor's movie failure, among other factors (the mixed reviews for Mere Husband Ki Biwi). There's little hope for the movie from here, if it couldn't mint Rs. 10 crore already.
